Job summary
As a Project engineer you will help in the preparation and execution of offshore topside decommissioning project, from jack-up arrival until load-in of structures onshore. As a very autonomous and multiskilled engineer, you will be taking part from small to large scale projects in the preparation work and execution, working on a fit for purpose solution.
Main activities:
Responsible for
- Writing Method statements for offshore and onshore execution activities
- Creating Material list, MTO, mobilization plans.
- Preparing drawings and calculations for lifting activities
- Performing small structural calculation or checks (weld size, beam check)
- Performing site survey, fabrication follow-up and issuing reports
- Managing subcontractors on site during mobilization and offshore execution periods
- Provide support to the project manager for:
- Creating project documentation (Document register, Quality plan, etc.)
- Creating large scale tenders
- Meeting with subcontractors and clients
Profile:
- Bachelor in mechanical or Naval or Structural engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience including
- Project engineering in offshore industry (Hook-up, upgrades/revamping, decommissioning, Topsides installation or removal, Load-in / load out)
- Offshore and hands-on project execution experience is a must
- Good experience of offshore operations, constructions activities (welding/plating) and lifting activities
Attitude and skills:
- Willing to be part of a fast pace developing company
- Frequent local travel and offshore visit (short duration)
- Long stay offshore during execution (1 or 2 per year)
- Team player and autonomous worker.
- Passion for technical and challenging project
- Very good computer skills with ability to create detailed and meticulous documentation
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- English mandatory, Dutch or French is a plus
Contract:
- 1Y first to be turned in indefinite
- Local basis
- Pension/25d holidays/train card or km indemnity
- Salary commensurate to experience
- Based in Hoofddorp office with travel offshore UK
