Structural Designer – Offshore Decommissioning (2025 Start)

Role Purpose / Summary:
The structural designer is responsible for the development of concept, basic and detailed design of offshore decommissioning projects, including heavy lifting as well as equipment and structural component design. The structural designer prepares and develops 3D models and 2D drawings, performs simple structural analyses, in collaboration with the draftsmen and structural engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participating in the engineering of offshore decommissioning projects from concept to detailed design within the in-house engineering team
 - Perform basic and detailed structural design of offshore structures and/or equipment
 - Modelling and drafting in 2D and 3D (AutoCAD, Inventor and Tekla)
 - Prepare design calculation reports
 - Define the scope of work, design specifications for subcontractors and review of their drawings
 - Supporting the Operations, Projects and Wells and P&A team.
 
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in offshore engineering, naval architecture or civil engineering specialized in costal engineering.
 - Experience min 1-5y in offshore or maritime industry in a similar role
 - Finite element method analysis focusing on local structural analysis
 - Local structural analysis e.g. standard lift points and bolted connections
 - General knowledge of the offshore/maritime industry and basic knowledge of heavy lift operations, engineering and marine operations
 - 2D and 3D drafting e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla or Cadmatic
 - MS Office
 - Fluency in English (written and spoken).
